🔴 Two Asylum Seekers Charged After Alleged Rape Of Girl, 12, in Nuneaton
Two men, confirmed asylum seekers, charged with rape of a 12-year-old in Nuneaton. Court dates set, Home Secretary calls for more transparency on suspect backgrounds in high-profile cases. Two asylum seekers, Ahmad Mulakhil, 23, and Mohammad Kabir, 23, both living in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, have been charged in connection with the alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl.
The incident reportedly occurred on Cheverel Street, Nuneaton, between 8:30pm and 9:45pm on 22 July 2025.
Mulakhil faces two counts of rape, while Kabir is charged with kidnap, strangulation, and aiding and abetting rape.
Mulakhil was arrested on 26 July and appeared at Coventry Magistrates’ Court on 28 July, where he was remanded in custody. Kabir, arrested on 31 July, appeared before the same court on 1 August and was also remanded. Both men are scheduled to appear at Warwick Crown Court on 26 August.
Warwickshire Police have appealed for witnesses in the Cheverel Street area between 8:30pm and 9:45pm on 22 July to come forward.
It is now public knowledge, as confirmed by Warwickshire Police Chief Constable Alex Franklin-Smith, that both Mulakhil and Kabir are asylum seekers. This follows a statement by Warwickshire County Council leader George Finch, who disclosed their immigration status on social media.
